Light burst title set

The inspiration for this title set are those cheesy "Batman" style sound FX graphics that appeared on the Batman TV series in the 6Ts. While making some of those "pow" type comic bursts I discovered some of the wonderful light effects on offer in the GIMP. Changing tack half way through, I've ended up with some effects that differ wildly from the comic book type bursts. They do share the same function however as the original Batman FX. In fact they have a passing resembelance to those light burst sometimes seen in certain fantasy and martial arts films

While the light bursts appear very quickly in the video demo, in keeping with a fight scene (although the video doesn't feature a fight !), the title effects can be "stretched" out on the Movie Maker timeline for a longer effect. With some experimentation and careful placement on the title track, they can also be used to produce a transition type effect. Try overlapping the clips on the video track for the duration of the title for a smoother transition to those shown in the video.

These work really nicely in those DIY Kung Fu movies of the speeded up variety !
